About Jessica

Jessica Ruff, E-RYT® 500, YACEP® teaches an empowering, dynamic yoga practice that emphasizes mindful alignment and strength with a soulful touch. She is passionate about sharing all eight limbs of yoga in classes, workshops, teacher trainings, and one-on-one. Quite simply, Jessica aims to help people connect more deeply with themselves and understand their own true nature.

Jessica first discovered yoga as a runner and quickly fell in love with the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of the practice. She completed her first 200-hour teacher training in 2013, and went on to complete Jason Crandell’s 300-hour training and an additional 200-hour training with Stephanie Snyder. She is currently training with Annie Carpenter in Annie’s 300-hour training and serves as a mentor in Jason Crandell’s 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training.

Jessica’s signature style of practice is strength-based, alignment-focused vinyasa. Expect an accessible yet dynamic style of practice marked by breath-based fluid movement. In addition to traditional vinyasa, Jessica teaches slow flow, power flow, yoga for runners, gentle yoga, and donation-based community classes. Beyond the physical practice, you can also expect philosophy and mindfulness layered throughout class.

Outside of yoga, Jessica has a BA in Psychology and an MBA. She spent over ten years in corporate marketing before pivoting in 2018 to fully invest herself in yoga. When not immersed in learning or teaching yoga, she loves to travel and spend time with her husband and beloved corgis. She served as a lululemon Ambassador for the Colonial Williamsburg store from 2022-2024.
